Remembering Sarah's Death

This is our group.

This is Daniel G he is playing Sarah’s brother

This is Alecia, she is playing Sarah.

This is Nicky, he is playing Sarah’s killer.

This is Daniel E, he is playing the drunk guy.

Here is our story….

Its been one year since Sarah died. I decided to go to all our favourite places.
We would walk this route every Friday, after pilates. She used to love Pawnbrokers. So that’s where I sold all her stuff after she was brutally murdered.
This is where we used to have picnics.
It’s also where her body was found. Anytime I come back here it reminds me of that night. Her killer still haunts me to this day.

Her funeral took place at this cathedral. It was also her favourite place to pray.

The community pitched in and had this plaque put in after her highly-publicized death.
I intend to visit it every year on this day.
We would come to this fountain to steal pennies and nickels. Sometimes we got lucky and we found some dimes

.
The horse fountain was one of our favourite places to hang out. I can still imagine her watching over me.

After we had collected enough change at the fountain, we would go to St. Lawrence Market, where our father was a butcher.

We would get a pound of bacon and it would last us the week. My dad died of a heart attack due to his high cholesterol six months ago.

After my dad passed, I moved into this building with my sick grandmother. Sarah and I would come here every Friday to visit her. She’s my only living relative at this point.
I ended my tour with the Sculpture Garden, where we would feed birds for about three hours.

There I met a drunk who convinced me to let it go. He had been to Vietnam and he had a lot of good advice for me on dealing with traumatic events.
I was finally ready to move on.

  4. This story had a good plot. There were some pictures that looked a little dark and like it was a cloudy day. That's perfect for when you're telling a story like this because it shows how things aren't as fun without a certain individual.

  9. NAME JARED VALKKI: I really loved this one! You had a good story that wasn't too complicated, it was simple. You found a great way to connect the subject matter to your story and I enjoyed that. Also, as a photographer I think your photogaphs were stunning! Both the shots and editing were great!

  10. Really enjoyed the story and the different camera angles. I especially liked the "Law of the Land" photo with the blurry effect of 'Sarah's killer'

  12. The shots were okay, but I found the story a bit confusing. Next time try adding in more whys to the story. For example why was he looking for Sarah?
